What's this about?
LEED is an energy and sustainability certification standard for buildings. It is a voluntary system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) with the aim of focusing on the performance characteristics of the building. The certification tool provides an accurate analysis of the building starting from the very first phase of construction, up to the management phase, evaluating parameters closely related to the sustainability of buildings.
The evaluation system is based on scores according to the obtaining of established credits. The evaluation process takes into account the distinction between new buildings and renovations. In addition, key parameters behind the certification are:

Professionals involved
The certification process is followed by ad hoc, accredited and mandatory figures in order to obtain certification. The technician accredited by USGBC is the LEED AP which, at the end of the analysis carried out, identifies the compliance of the LEED credits and confirms the achievement of the rating.
